Model Lessons: Science, Grades 4 and 8
To prepare Louisiana's students for LEAP 21 by ensuring
mastery of the Content Standards, the LDE Division of Student Standards and Assessments has developed Model Lessons
for Science. Each lesson was developed to be used by novice
and experienced teachers alike.
Although Model Lessons specifically target 4th- and 8th-grade students,
the lessons are appropriate for use in other grade levels. While some lessons may be brief "stand alone"
lessons, others may resemble unit plans over a range of Benchmarks and may require more than one class session
to complete. Activities, questions, and evaluation instruments are included in the plans; however, teachers
are encouraged to individualize the lessons to best suit their teaching styles and the learning styles
of their students. |
