Web-Based School Calendar
Calendars.net is a free interactive web calendar hosting service which displays and edits your own school calendar of events. It lets you and anyone you choose post events. You can link it to your web page, embed it in your current web page, or give it a URL address that can be shared with parents for easy access to the calendar. It can also be printed in both block and list style to be sent home to parents who do not have Internet connections. You can list events and then create pop-up boxes to give more details. The site is free and does not include any ad banners. (There is a site where you can pay for more options, but I used the free site.) It is very easy to set up and administer, and it would allow you to let your secretary, athletic director, and computer teacher be able to add events, allowing you to share the responsibility. There is an online manual which gives all the directions and options available.
