The Division of Professional Development implements and supports research-based professional development opportunities for Louisiana educators that build capacity, promote professional learning communities, and support instructional practices focused on improving student achievement.

Key initiatives of this division include Learning Intensive Networking Communities for Success (LINCS), the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP), National Board Certification (NBC), Louisiana FIRST Online, Local Teacher Quality (LTQ) Grants, and the Louisiana Teacher Assistance and Assessment Program (LaTAAP).
