State Programs

The 8(g) Local Teacher Quality Program was implemented to assist local school districts and schools in addressing their certification shortage issues, professional development and leadership development needs. This program provides funding to assist local school systems and eligible nonpublic schools to coordinate their efforts to increase the number of certified/ highly qualified teachers and school leaders in order to have a positive impact on student achievement.
