GLEEM
Grade-Level Expectations Education Model (GLEEM)
The Grade-Level Expectations Education Model (GLEEM) is the design which will assist the Department in implementing high quality, ongoing, job embedded professional development about what the Grade-Level Expectations (GLEs) mean to teachers in the classroom. This professional development will be comprised of a series of stand-alone face-to-face presentations and/or online modules. The goal of GLEEM is to assist teachers with obtaining a deeper understanding of effective classroom level implementation using GLEs in the four content areas: math, English/language arts, science, and social studies.
Currently the Department is providing awareness sessions to district and school-level stakeholders across the state.
Through a collaborative effort in partnerships with national consultants, instructional leaders, and teachers from across the state, the Department is in the process of developing the above mentioned series of stand-alone modules and the professional development sessions that will accompany them.
