Learning Activity 1. Kindergarten - 4 grade Review the US Dietary Guidelines with students. Visit the USDA website to review the US Dietary Guidelines with the students. As a class, students can create a list of characteristics of a person who is healthy. Take a picture of each student and have it mounted on a picture frame made out of construction paper. Note that people who are healthy come in all shapes and sizes. 2. Grades 5-8 Review the US Dietary Guidelines with students. Visit the USDA website to review the US Dietary Guidelines. Set dietary physical activity goals based upon the Dietary Guidelines. Help students determine how to make healthier eating choices and add physical activity to their daily routines. Ask the class for about ten suggestions to list on individual pieces of paper. The goals should be attainable. These goals can be as simple as
