2006-2007 EETT Competitive Grant Information

The TLTC Regional Centers will implement strategies designed to use technology to enhance teaching and learning while supporting existing State curriculum standards. This competitive award funds one TLTC in each BESE region to serve as an extension of the Louisiana Center for Educational Technology. They assist with the development and implementation of technology integrated professional development and leadership programs while supporting existing state curriculum standards and effective implementation of the state mandated Comprehensive Curriculum. Professional Development opportunities are provided to educators in the region served by the TLTC.

CONNECTEDTech Grants are designed to address school-wide improvement efforts through the effective and expanded use of instructional technology. These grants develop or support exemplary instructional technology models that directly address the goals and instructional strategies of the technology plan and local school improvement efforts to assist teachers with integration of technology in the curriculum, improve teaching practice and technology proficiency, and increase student performance. The creative nature of this grant allows qualified applicants to design new or support existing effective technology professional development models based on local needs. Well-designed CONNECTEDTech models should be replicable in other schools and districts.
