Technology Grants and Programs Evaluation
Louisiana Technology Evaluation Report
The Louisiana Technology Initiative, established in 1997, represents the state's commitment to improving student achievement through the infusion of technology into all schools as a reform tool for changing pedagogy in Louisiana Schools.
As part of this evaluation tool, data were initially collected and based on 7 themes addressed in the initiative structure. The number of themes over the years have changed; however, the content and information has continued to paint a comprehensive picture of the program, including the progress of the Louisiana Technology Initiative and the progress toward attainment of State and National technology goals, especially the extensive amount of professional development, teacher and student resources, and technology equipment that has been made available with the joint funding from federal, state, district, and local sources.
For comparative purposes, all of the reports since the 1998-1999 school year are included.
This chart gives a brief overview of the status and changes taking place with school, system and nonpublic technology resources.
