Program Description
• The Donna Contois Louisiana Jobs for America's' Graduates-Louisiana (JAG-LA) is an affiliate of the national Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG).
• JAG is the nation’s largest model of school-to-career transition for at-risk and disadvantaged youth.
• JAG-LA 's mission is focused on the following:
-Delivering a unique set of services to at-risk and disadvantaged youth in high school, middle school and out-of school;
-Providing follow-up services which will result in the graduate's pursuing a postsecondary education; and
-Ensuring the participants enter the workforce in a quality job, leading to a career.
• JAG-LA began in Louisiana in 1995 with two sites; it is now one of the most successful at-risk youth programs in the state, having served over 12,000 youth statewide.

Program Impact
• JAG-LA is located at 33 sites in 22 parishes throughout the state.
• In 2006-2007, JAG LA served over 1,000 participants in high schools, vocational technical colleges, and alternative school centers around the state. In addition, JAG LA conducts an annual State Leadership Conference and Career Development Conference for JAG LA participants.
