DIG (Degree of Implementation Guide)
Overview
The Degree of Implementation Guide (DIG) helps schools monitor the implementation of their School Improvement Plan (SIP).
DIG is designed to help schools answer the questions:
- Were the planned activities completed?
- How well were they completed?
DIG contains data collection instruments as well as a protocol for quarterly and end-of-year evaluations. Quarterly visits occur in October, January, March and May.
Schools can use DIG results to:
- Report progress to stakeholders, the school district and the Louisiana Department of Education
- Improve implementation of SIP strategies and/or
- Revise SIP strategies and/or activities
