Louisiana's State Performance Plan ( 2005-2011)
Louisiana’s six-year State Performance Plan (SPP)-Part B (July 1, 2005 – June 30, 2011) addresses new reporting requirements under the Individuals with Disabilities Improvement Act of 2004. The State Performance Plan, which was developed with broad stakeholder input, sets annual targets for improvement in 20 indicator areas determined to directly influence successful student outcomes. Further, the plan describes activities to achieve its targets, with annual reporting of the state’s progress beginning in February 2007.
As part of the annual reporting process, Louisiana will be disseminating information to the public about the performance of local education agencies in indicator areas 1–14 of the State Performance Plan. Through the LEA application process, it will be the responsibility of local education agencies to plan their strategies for improvement to address growth in these indicator areas.
