Educational Improvement and Assistance
Statewide Critical Shortages in Personnel
General Information
Eligible Applicants
Colleges (including technical and community colleges) and university programs, local educational agencies, professional organizations, private providers, and teacher practitioner programs are eligible applicants. Local educational agencies, professional organizations, and private providers must partner with an institution of higher education in order to apply. In case of a consortium/partnership, a lead agency must be designated to act on behalf of the consortium and must have the capacity for accountable, effective budget management. Additionally, in a consortium, letters of endorsement must be provided, and the degree of participation of all participating agencies must be clearly defined.
This project will be funded from July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004. Applications may reflect a 3 year period for planning, developing, and implementing goals. However, this application should address first year objectives and activities. Each approved project will require a yearly continuation application, and renewal will be based upon achievement of objectives, completion of stated activities, and timely submission of all reports; i.e., quarterly, annual performance, and project completion reports. Grant awards are based on availability of funds.
