Statewide Student Support Projects
General Information
Eligible Applicants
Local school systems, including Type II charter schools, parent organizations, colleges and university programs, professional organizations and community-affiliated organizations are eligible applicants. The eligible applicant must have the capacity to address two or more of the following components: 1) Technical Assistance; 2) Professional Development; 3) Personnel Preparation; 4) Parent Involvement; and
5) Intra/Interagency Collaboration.
In case of a consortium/partnership, a lead agency must be designated to act on behalf of the consortium and must have the capacity for accountable, effective budget management. Additionally, in a consortium, letters of endorsement must be provided and the degree of participation of all participating agencies must be clearly defined.
This project will be funded from July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004. Applications may reflect a 3 year period for planning, developing, and implementing goals. However, this application should address first year objectives and activities. Each approved project will require a yearly continuation application, and renewal will be based upon achievement of objectives, completion of stated activities, and timely submission of all reports; i.e., quarterly, annual performance, and project completion reports. Grant awards are based on availability of funds.
