Under the leadership of the Louisiana State Department of Education, the State Autism Team was convened in December 2007 with an over-riding mission to guide the state so it can meet the educational needs of students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) has produced the video “Autism: A Call to Action” regarding our state autism initiatives and the need for full local district participation. The video provides information on what these initiatives are and what districts can do to enhance services and outcomes for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
