Twenty-eight schools are in School Improvement 4. They must continue to offer school choice. If they receive Title I funds, they must also offer Supplemental Educational Services. In addition, they must now develop a Reconstitution Plan and submit it to BESE for approval by Dec. 31, as well as select some other improvement measure from the Corrective Action List in the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. They remain eligible for a Distinguished Educator if their district enters into a partnership with the Louisiana Department of Education.
