The BESE Teacher Quality Newsletter
In an effort to keep local school systems, universities/colleges, and the public abreast of Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) actions that affect teacher quality, this update is compiled at the conclusion of meetings each month. This report does not include all actions, but is a summary of the major actions that may affect teachers, teacher education programs, and teacher issues in local systems.
This report is divided into four sections: 1. Items received and referred for consideration at the next month’s meeting (in yellow); 2. items that were considered by the Board and were retained (in orange); 3. items that are being run in the Louisiana Register (in blue); and 4. items that received action by the Board, including Notices of Intent and final adoption as Rule (in green).
