Division of Certification, Preparation & Recruitment

The Division of Certification, Preparation & Recruitment consists of four main sections or focus areas. These sections are:

Key initiatives of the Division of Certification, Preparation & Recruitment include implementation and maintenance of certification policy and procedures, the issuance of teacher and leader certificates, certification appeals, and teacher preparation program approval.

The Division of Certification, Preparation & Recruitment also maintains and develops the Teach Louisiana website, the Department of Education's online clearinghouse for educators which provides recruitment, certification, teacher preparation and professional development resources to improve teacher quality throughout the state.
